He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Joe Powell; his brother Jesse Loy Powell; and his grandparents, John, Mary Farris, Jess and Ruthie Powell.
He is survived by: his mother Bertha Powell (Farris) of Spur, TX; his sisters, Ella Jo Sisk-Richey (Wayne) of Idalou, TX and Mary Ruth Wessels (Dennis) of Belen, NM.; his friend David Hindman; and his uncle John Farris (Sue) of Dalhart, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
