He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Monroe and Burl Mae Mauldin (Carter); his wife Brucille Mauldin; his children, William "Todd" Mauldin, Jackie Doyle Mauldin (Toni) and Cheryl Lee (Tim); his sisters, Joyce Drane and Jeanette Evans Clement; his grandchildren, Jake, Mindy, Kasi, Garrett (Logan), Kayla and Alyssa; and his great grandchildren, Jentri, Neal, Tripp, Presley, Brooks, Hadley and Ziva.
