He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carl Rucker, Clara Lee Cody Hamill, Lawrence William and Paulene "Polly" Lewis Kemp; and his father-in-law Jimmy Jo Wilson.

He is survived by: his parents, Patricia Hamill and Richard Hamill of McKinney; his wife Dana Hamill; his pet Deuce; his mother-in-law Jean Wilson of Reno; his sister Dawn (Brad Hubbard) of Cedar Hill; and his children, Jeremy Hamill of Henry, Jennifer (Kevin Landers) of Springtown, John (Brandie Boyle) of Azle, Marty (Tamara Boyle) of Cottondale, Jerid (Chelsey Hamill) of McKinney and Justin (Kasey Hamill) of Winterville, N. C.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
