It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Alvey Jr. of Springtown, Texas, born in Uniontown, Kentucky, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl, Sr. and Carrie Alvey (Collins); his son Joe Alvey, III; and his former wives, Mary Alvey and Ginger Alvey.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Sweeney Alvey; his children, Bill Alvey (Michelle), Scott Alvey (Joan), Jeff Alvey, Nancy Shelton and Amy McKain (Paul); and his grandchildren, Erin Rapach (Scott), Brandon Alvey (Wendy), Crystal Henry (Doug), Ryan Alvey, Joshua Shelton, Shane McKain (Whitney), Patrick McKain (Danay), Jennifer Shelton, Kyle McKain (Kida), Courtney Fox (Mike), Jon Alvey, Derek Alvey (Ella) and Sarah Hughes (Alex). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home (1401 Halsell St, Bridgeport, TX 76426).
