It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mathis (Springtown, Texas), born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on November 5, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Clarice Holder Reedy and Melvin Hogg; his wife Donnie Aaron Mathis; his children, Jackie Wayne Mathis and Patricia Dobbs; his brother Kenneth Mathis; and his brother-in-law Roy Banks.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Mathis, John Mathis, Jr. (Kathy), Michael Aaron and Lakisha Mathis (John Pernell); and his siblings, Audrey Banks, Evelyn Walker (Hubba) and Sammy Aaron. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
