He was predeceased by: his parents, Loris Shafer and Luella Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Shafer; his children, Carla Laska (James), Jennifer Elliott (William) and Richard Shafer (Kelli); his grandchildren, Kyle Laska (Annika), Kelsey Hackl (Luke), Garrett Gibson, Presley Gibson and Samantha Shafer; his great grandchildren, Jensen, Cade and Blakely; and his sister Delores Emerson. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
