He is survived by: his wife Janice; his sons, Cruz Martinez of Houston and Marcos Martinez of Houston, Texas; his stepson Steve Marcotte of Louisiana; his daughters, Carolina Murillo of Houston and Maria Martinez of Houston, Texas; his stepdaughters, Sherry Lee of Louisiana, Sandy Cheshire of Oklahoma, Stacey Gauthier of Lousiana and Becky James of Louisiana; and his siblings, Maria Garza of Houston, Lourdes Rodriguez of Abilene, Texas, Tomas Martinez of San Antonio and Ovidio Martinez of Reserve, Louisiana..
