He is survived by: his wife Irma Katherina Matteson; his daughter Kathryn Irma Matteson; his grandsons, Sterling Matteson Saathoff and Stone Ryan Saathoff; his brother Richard Alan Matteson; and his nephews, William Walker Matteson, Samuel Hatch Matteson and Donald Alan Matteson.
