He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Effie Self and Joseph Westbrook. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Westbrook; his children, Vivian Russell (Edward, Forrest Westbrook) and Rand Westbrook (Susan); his sisters, Mickey Moore of McKinney, TX and Doris Colley of Cullman, AL; and his grandchildren, Mark Russell (Barbara, Sara Beecher), Ryan Westbrook, Joel Westbrook (Melissa, Scott Westbrook), Meredith Seabourn (Jonathan) and Derek McCrory (Charla). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
