He is survived by: his mother-in-law Irma; his wife Irma Ramos-Carpenter; his daughter Lana Stewart; his son-in-law Leigh Hale; his grandchildren, Layla, Nate Stewart, Faith Hale Lunsford (Davis), William Hale (Alison), Grace Hale, Hope Hale, Alex Hale and Isaiah Hale; his sister Barbara Meineke; his brother-in-law Bob Meineke; his brother Ronald Carpenter (Thelma); and his friend Larry Osborn.
