She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melvin Gilliam and Ruby Lee Davis Gilliam; her husband Roland Powell (Sooner); her son Michael Lee Powell; her grandson Michael Brent Powell; her stepfather Henry Strother; her siblings, Flo Cagle and Duby Gilliam; her stepsister Anna Beth Spillers; her daughters, Deanna Hughes (Randall) of Pennington and Monti Hughes (Bo) of Huntsville, Texas.; her grandchildren, Kassandra Owens (Mike), Brandon Hughes (Madison), Justin Hughes (Ashley), John Randall Hughes and Steven Powell (Jeannie); her great grandchildren, Abigail, Amelia, Josephine, Loren and Raelee; her stepbrother Allen Strother; and her daughter Lori Powell.
