He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Kathrin; his parents, Herbert and Olga; and his daughter Diann. He is survived by: his sons, Jim Remmert (Karla) and Jeff Remmert (Bette); and his grandchildren, Natalie Hegwood, Alicia Haynes, Angela Hogue, Bryce Remmert, Britney Remmert and Meghan Roach.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
