He is survived by: his wife Ester Marie Salazar; his children, Angela Michelle Caskey (Scott) of Conroe, Michael Angelo Salazar (Eleanor) of Brookshire, Ryan Henry Salazar of Arvada and Stephanie Marie Salazar (Andrew Perez) of Spring; his brother Steve; his sister-in-law Paula Salazar; his in-laws, Matilde Garcia, Mary Frances Krempel and Guadalupe Garcia Kennedy (Michael); his grandchildren, Blaine Weathington, Brittany Juarez, Marie Salazar, Michael Salazar Jr., Lucille Pearl Santiago Salazar, Erik Caskey, Bridgette Caskey and Krista Caskey; and his great grandchildren, Anais Juarez, Sylvester Juarez II and Andrew Soltero. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home (21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338). A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the External Service Location (21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338).
