He was predeceased by: his parents, Pat Merrill and Mary Ellen Ransom; his stepfather Curtis; and his wife Elisa Torres Merrill. He is survived by: his children, Charles Merrill, Jr. of Spring, TX and Brooke Lyons of Waller, TX; his siblings, Curtis Ransom of New Ulm, TX and Patricia Gustely of Stevensville; his grandchildren, Arielle, Addison Presley, Melanie, Madelyn, Holly, Grayson and Jacob; and his great grandchild Beckett.
