She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harrison Reed and Ellery Williams; her husband J. A. Nelson; and her siblings, Henry Harrison Reed III, Lauana Lea Dement and Craig Arthur Reed.
She is survived by: her former husband Julius Nelson (Jay); her siblings, Cherokee Caddell (Roger) of Conroe and Douglas Marcom Reed (Leigh) of South Carolina; her stepchildren, Rex Blakely, Juliene Tomlinson and William Nelson; her brothers-in-law, Mason Dement and James Jones (Lanny); her pet Prissy; and her nephew Hank Chvatal. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as a great-great niece.
