She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Postel and Velma Koppes Postel; her husband Gordon Shaffer; her son Jeffrey Shaffer; her sister Nancy Serbousek; her brother-in-law Lynn Serbousek; her brother Tom Postel; and her niece Carrie Ellen Postel.
She is survived by: her son Michael Lynn (Tammie); her daughter-in-law Terri; her grandchildren, Devin (Susie), Lauren (Roger), Victoria, Hunter, Lexie (Troy), Danielle (Ochesé), Jordan, Blake, Nick and Neal; her great grandchildren, Cole, Kaylee, Liliana, Noah, Johnny, Layla, Hayden and Elise; her siblings, Milton Postel (Mary) and Diann Pavelka (Dan); and her sister-in-law Sue Postel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
