He was predeceased by: his parents, Vann Griffin and Bettie Cullun Griffin; his wife Betty Sue Griffin; and his son James "Jimmy" Lee Griffin. He is survived by: his sons, John Griffin (Marsha), Boyce Griffin (Lisa), Royce Griffin (Jennifer) and Eddie Griffin (Jamey); and his grandsons, John D. Griffin, Jr., Tyler Griffin, Josh Griffin, Adam Griffin, Corey Griffin, Conley Griffin, Honorary Pallbearers Grant Griffin and Rory Griffin.
