He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Mae Phillips and Huland Alfred Tripp; his wife Susan Tripp; and his daughter Shelly Cochran. He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Tripp-Finger (John-Paul Finger) of Georgetown; his brother Jerry Tripp of Houston; his half-siblings, Glenn Tripp of Spring Branch and Dorothy Jean "Sissy" Donatelli of Pennsylvania; his grandson Cody Cochran; and his great grandchild Leo Cochran of Bulverde.
