He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberta Banks Johnson and Edward Leroy Johnson; and his wife Diane M. Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Almaguer (Richard) and Sarah Cornelius (Josh); his grandsons, Logan Almaguer, Coleman Almaguer, Carter Almaguer, Sawyer Cornelius and Rowan Cornelius; and his pet JoJo.
