She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Kenyon Young of Corpus Christi; her parents, Benjamin Hood and Tommie Hood of Corpus Christi; and her sisters, Mildred Davis (Merty) and Mary Jo Beal.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Kennedy of New Braunfels and Ben Young of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Brandy Saenz (James) of New Braunfels, Shane Young (Katie) of Baltimore, Kent Young (Brianne) of Ada and Shay Kennedy of New Braunfels; and her sister Faye Jean Johns of Spring Branch. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
