He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Wayne Tope Sr.; his aunts, Sharon Rhea and Debbie Chancey; and his granddaughter Trinity Compton. He is survived by: his mother Effie Tope; his children, Christopher Rawles, Patrick Stott, Brittany White and Krystelle Adams; his siblings, Gerald Wayne Tope Jr. and Patricia Juanelle Williams; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Alexus, Raymond, Nolan, Brooklyn, Mercedes, Trevor and Gracie; and his nieces and nephews, Megan, Hailey, Matthew, Shane and Dalton.
