He was predeceased by: his wife Armida Borunda of Tarango; his daughter Ana Patricia Tarango; and his parents, Regino Tarango and Celia Tarango of Tarango. He is survived by: his children, Jose Tarango (Sylvia), Lisa Munoz (Gerardo) and Luis Carlos Tarango; his grandchildren, Maria Isabel Tarango, Gerardo Ezequiel Munoz, Chloe Celeste Tarango, Jose Natanael Tarango, Ana Patricia Munoz and Dominic Alejandro Tarango; and his sister Alvara Tarango of Guerrero. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
