He was predeceased by: his parents, Oaks Ames Scroggs and Opal Faus; his wife Marolyn; and his sons, David and James Michael Scroggs.
He is survived by: his children, Deatta Sparks, Yvonda Sheets of Spearman and Jacob Carrington of Midland; his sisters, Colleen Neal, Zada Cooper, Peggy Mitchell, Sharon Johnson and Mary Beth Harper; his grandchildren, Deremy Fleetwood, Britt Fleetwood, Shyloh Moore, Cheyenne Coates and Dalton Sparks; and his great grandchildren, Ayden Fleetwood of Xander Fleetwood, T. J, Moore, Jax Sparks and Jailyn Griffen.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home (519 Evans St, Spearman, TX 79081). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holt Cemetery (10239 FM281, Spearman, TX 79081).
