He is survived by: his wife Albertina; his children, Wilfredo Penate, Ronald Penate, Claudia Penate, Jacqueline Banegas and Maria Penate; and his siblings, Roberto Penate, Raul Penate, Ursula Penate, Miguel Penate, Luz Antonia Penate and Ricardo Penate. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
