He was predeceased by: his son Gilbert Carmelo Jr.; his parents, Cruz Perez Ontiveros and Juan Ontiveros; and his siblings, Alice Perez, Sally Bahina and Bobby Carmelo.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Carmello and Christian; his grandchildren, Melissa, Jasmine and Tom; and his siblings, Manuela Anguiano, Mary Rodriguez, George Carmello, Elizabeth Orosco, Rosa Maria Singh, Rudy Perez, Diana Perez and Barbara Luna. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers that monetary donations be made.
