It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Bernice Wimer of Sour Lake, Texas, born in Batson, Texas, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Golden Loftin and Hector Loftin; her husband Willie Wimer; her siblings, Marie Clements and Leonard Loftin; and her grandson Gary "Skipper" Morse, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Carol Gonsoulin of Kountze and Gary Morse (Dorothy) of Nacogdoches; and her grandchildren, Teri Rodriguez, Brent Morse (Karen), Keli Zimmerman (Chris), Jeri Kirkendall (Chris) and Christina Edgar (Jake). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
