We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2022, at the age of 73, Dickie J. Means in Sonora, Texas, born in Las Cruces, New Mexico passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hardin Means, Sr. and Leola Means (Germillion); his brothers, John Hardin Means, Jr. and Troy Gilmore; and his nephew Steve Means.
He is survived by: his wife Lavonn Means of Loving, NM; his daughter Amy Jo Russell of Artesia, NM; his stepchildren, Donny Collier (Kendra) and Sharay Collier of Carlsbad, NM; his daughter Amanda Mashaw (Ray) of Carlsbad, NM; his grandchildren, Whitney Sartin, Chaz Sartin (Tiersa), Ashlen Nygren (Trevor) and Melinda Collier; his great grandchildren, Lylli Parsons, Lucas Parsons, Ashten Sartin and Quinten Hernandez; his siblings, Aubrey Means (Barbara) of Buckhorn, NM, Dawsie Germillion of Albuquerque, NM, Colleen Elderfield of Clebourne and John Gilmore of Carlsbad, NM; and his sisters-in-law, Martha Ann Kyser and Rhonda Gilmore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
