He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Schumacher and Meta Schumacher Sr.; and his siblings, Maxine, Rosalee and Alexander.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan; his son-in-law Don Bayer of Lexington; his son Brandon Schumacher (Patty Kay) of Benten, Arkansas.; his grandsons, Chris (Anna Bayer), Creig (Daura Bayer) and Kevin (Cathy Bayer) of Lexington; and his great grandchildren, Julia, Emilia, Hadleigh, Brant Bayer, Colton, Cooper, Carter, Callie, Cody Messer, Kason Bayer (Abigail), Noack, Weston, Caitlyn and Holdon Bayer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home (545 8th St, Somerville, TX 77879). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery Church (15984 TX-36, Somerville, TX 77879).
