He was predeceased by: his father Walter Lee Holmesly Sr.; his brother Kevin Holmesly; and his stepson Trevor Emerson. He is survived by: his mother Alta Faye Jones Thrower (Jo); his son Corbin Lee Holmesly; his siblings, Shana Reed of Lubbock, TX, Robin Clayton of Shawnee, OK, Neice, Taylor Reed and Bryan Thrower of Carrollton, TX; his nephews, Brody Thrower of Carrollton, TX and Brendan Thrower of Carrollton, TX; his aunts and uncles, Lorene Jones Honeywell of Shawnee, OK, Rebecca Hauser of Waurika, OK, Bill Jones of Shawnee, OK and Carl Jones of Cromwell, OK; his stepson Justin Burns of Albany, TX; and his grandchildren, Lucy Cook and Liv Holmesly of Snyder.

He was employed by Production Pump Systems Inc. after being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, he recieved a bi-lateral lung transplant in 2010 and supported the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
