He was predeceased by: his son Ronnie Wayne Cotton; his siblings, Dale Cotton (Jo), Bruce Cotton and Joyce Mitchell (Lyn); his siblings-in-law, Luvenia Fowler (Horace), L. M. Dawson, Pearl Nettles and Oleta Hamje; and his parents, Lloyd Wayne and Bertha Mae Cotton.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, William Cotton (Julie), Michael Cotton and Tracey (Brian Hilburn) of Poolville; his siblings-in-law, Nada Cotton, Edith Dawson and John Taylor (Linda); his grandchildren, Jessica McMullen (Colby), Seth Cotton, Kellner Odom, Jared Cotton (Katy), Hunter Cotton, Aaron Palacios, Braden Palacios, Layton Hilburn and Lillie Hilburn; his cousin Kent Holmes; and his great grandchildren, Deklan Cotton, Maren McMullen, Jensen Cotton and Micah McMullen. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
