He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Byrom and Ruth Byrom (Lee); his wife Peggy Byrom (Limbaugh); and his brothers, A. L. "Shorty" Byrom and Parker Byrom.

He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Byrom (Michelle) of Snyder, TX and Michael Limbaugh (Carolyn) of Clarksburg, TN. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
