He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Leon and Goldie Edith Bohannon (Golden); his children, Leslie Benjamin Bohannon Jr. (Dee Dee), Lovington, Brian Bohannon (Sandi), Sheila Garcia (Ronny) and Sherry Maple (Geoff); his sisters, Patricia Bruner, Loava Swaringin, Safford and Judy Jones; and his stepbrother Jimmy Ellis of Madison, AL.. He was also cherished by Grandchildren 15) Great Grandchildren.
