He was predeceased by: his mother Zelma Benningfield; his great grandchildren, Jaydee May Smith, Cole Reece Smith, Landon Reid Smith, Paisley Grace Smith and Hadley Rae Smith; his parent Sidney Benningfield; and his siblings, Louella May Benningfield, Lois Fern Huff, Rose Lee Davis, JoAnn Cape, Ione Madelle Willis and Sidney Clarence Benningfield.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Delane Benningfield of Snyder, TX; his children, Brenna Rene Smith (Luther Bradly) of Mertzon, TX. and Morgan Wade Benningfield (Apryl Dawn) of Lubbock, TX.; and his grandchildren, Stephen Dale Styron, Chaz Brody Carr, Carah Ouillette, Sophia Grace Evaro, Isaiah Robert Evaro, Clinton Brice Smith "Babe", Branson Wyatt Smith "Hoss", Caitlyn Nicole Allen "Miss Kitty", Bradey Benning Allen "Bud", Grayson Cash Holland, Bronson Scott Holland, Hayes Paul Holland, Elliott Wade Benningfield and Emerson Thomas Benningfield.
