She was predeceased by: her parents, Lino Esparza and Ramona Esparza (Gonzales); her husband Senovio Salazar; her sons, Lupe and Tino Salazar; her granddaughter Erica Martinez; and her great grandchild Rena Kubichek.
She is survived by: her children, David Salazar (Krista), Faustina (Valentine Vega), Adrianna Salazar, Marie Olivarez, Gloria (Terry Harvey) and JoAnn (Michael Canales); her daughter-in-law Pauline Salazar; and her sisters, Lupe Olivas, Janie Reyes, Sheila Herrera, Natividad Guillen and Celia Martinez. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and, one great-great grandchild; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trevino-Smith Funeral Home & Crematory (2610 S Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77802). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (507 E 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
