It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Franklin Joseph Stein of Snook, Texas, born in Castroville, Texas, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Woodrow and Malinda Wehmeyer Stein; his brother Robert Stein; and his brother-in-law Donald Biediger. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Stein; his children, Richard Stein (Kelli) and Linda Thurman (Beau); his grandchildren, Reagan Thurman, Nicholas Stein and Courtney Thurman; and his sister Rosalie Biediger of Rio Medina, TX.

“Dr. Stein was a wonderful professor and a kind soul. He taught at Blinn College for the Veterinary Technician Program. I will always be lucky to have known him. My favorite saying of his is that "the best snake is a dead snake". Weirdly enough, I used that saying this past Monday the 3rd, before I knew of his passing. I'd like to think he was saying hello. To the family of Dr. Stein, I'm so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. -Jenny Rookey”
