He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Sr. Mikulec and Florence Mikulec; his sister Dana Mikulec; and his brother-in-law Robert Scoggins. He is survived by: his sisters, Paulene Scoggins of Bastrop, Annie Tompkins (Ray) of Smithville and Wendy Stuessy (Olien "Bubba").
