It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Joseph Lavender of Smithville, Texas, born in Matthews, Missouri, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Hillary Clay Lavender and Ethel May Lavender; and his children, William Lavender Jr. and Joni Braden. He is survived by : his wife Ruth Constance Lowerison; his children, Billy, Gary Lavender (Debbie) and Pamela Lavender; and his grandchildren, Brian Ladyman (Jennifer), Jennifer Metz (Pat), Mary Feltz, Eric Lavender (Amber), Daniella Lavender, Monica Fuqua (Darrell), Billy Cantrell, Dylan Merritt, Holly Hartgroves (Nick), Stephanie Lavender and William Lavender III.

A memorial service was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 Hudgins St, Smithville, TX 78957).
