She was predeceased by: her parents, Eulalio Garcia and Augustina Trejo Garcia; her siblings, Reyes Garcia, Chester Garcia, Timothy Garcia, Barbara Salas and Adela Espinoza; and her brother-in-law Aurelio Rangel Ruiz.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Ruiz (Caroline) of San Angelo, Gilbert Ruiz (Aimee) of Corpus Christi and Sally Ruiz of Austin; and her grandchildren, Tonya Herrera, Andrew Ruiz Jr., Joseph Hernandez, Jeanette Flores, Gilbert Ruiz Jr. and Victoria Ruiz. She is also survived by her 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
