He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Piner and Gladys Piner; and his siblings, Woodrow Piner, Jr., Wesley Johnson and Joan Piner Dosher.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Piner; and his siblings, David Johnson, James Johnson, Margie Piner Wolfe and Marilyn Gaines.
Steve requested that any memorials be made in his honor to local animal shelters or rescues.
