It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael T. Painter of Smithville, Texas, born in Monmouth, Illinois, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Russell Painter; his uncle Gus Schisler; and his brother Mark Painter. He is survived by: his mother Betty Painter (Schisler); his stepfather Bob Clark of Phoenix; his sister-in-law Karri Painter of Monmouth; his half-brother Chris Painter of Monmouth; his aunt Marilyn "Jo" Johnson; his close friends, Ginny Boyce of Texas, Steve Foust of Texas, Dwight Brown of Texas and Homer Holeman of Monmouth; and his pets, Racer and Skipper. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
