It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Redd of Smithville, Texas, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, U. L. Inge and Abilee Inge. She is survived by: her husband Bass Redd; her sons, Dr. Mark Redd (Sharon) and David Redd (Kay); her grandchildren, Johnathan Redd, Shelby Smith, Joseph Redd, Christopher Redd, Nathan Redd and Haley Redd; her great grandchild Carter Smith; and her family Joy of God's Word.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thompsonville Community Church (2494 Co Rd 423, Waelder, TX 78959). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
