It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Ann (Grohman) Rice (Smithville, Texas), who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lonnie Rice; her parents, Sylvester Grohman and Alma Grohman; and her brother Alvis Grohman. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Monroe, Michael Rice, Larry Rice (Debbie), Daniel Rice (Carol), Carolyn Burdick (Mark) and Tommy Rice (Claudia); and her sister Evelyn Hubble. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital or the St. Paul Catholic Church building fund.
