She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Emil Reimers of Giddings and Alma Franz of Paige, Texas.; her sisters, Gladys, Joan Smelser (Aubrey) of Austin, Joyce Schultz and Florence; her brother-in-law Howard Burns; her grandmother Ganny; her children, Leigh Ann (Rob) and Don (Paul); her grandchildren, Jason (Sam) and Ashley; and her great grandchildren, Avianna and Titan. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.

She fought against her ailments with everything she had, and leaned on her faith to stave off the memory stealing Alzheimer's.
