He is survived by: his wife Diane Hernandez Mendez; his children, Jamey Mendez (Benjamin), Yvonne Mendez and Elizabeth DeLeon (Mikey); his grandchildren, Kailynn Mendez, Jaden Del Val, Lauren DeLeon, Ethan Del Val and Mason Houseton; his sister Cindy Guillory; and his nieces and nephews, Connie Mendez, Priscilla Vasquez, Lane Guillory and Fred Vasquez.
