He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Adams and John Adams; his siblings, Ruben, Frank, Jesse Adams, Roberta Bird and Belle Carlson; his children, Timothy Adams, David Adams, Hubert Paul Adams Jr and Janet Swonke; his granddaughters, Jo Lynn Queener and Shannon Beal; and his great grandchild Colby Kelton.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Adams of Smiley; his children, JoAnn Adams Helms of Texico, Dennis Charles Adams Sr. of Victoria and Linda Ray; his granddaughter Renee Rios (Oscar, Jenny Alexander); his sister Joyce Braune of New Braunfels; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Rudloff of Brenham, Cora Lee Naumann of Brenham and Walter Korth Sr of Brenham. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; brothers.
