It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Morton of Slaton, Texas, born in Paradise, Texas, who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Jan Morton; his parents, Lloyd Morton and Velma Morton; and his siblings, Inez Payne, Vivian Jones, Evelyn Swenson, Lloyd D. Morton, Jr., Harold Morton and Raymond Morton.

He is survived by: his children, James Morton (Mary Ellen), Linda Kjeldgaard (Larry), Steve Morton (Lisa) and Sheri Kincaid (Tommy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
