He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicente Diaz and Trinidad Diaz. He is survived by: his wife Virginia V. Diaz; his son Francisco Javier Diaz; his grandson Zachary Castillo; his siblings, Jesusa Diaz and Julian Diaz Sr. (Norma); his niece Diana Diaz; his nephews, Julian Diaz Jr. and Diego Diaz; his sons, Demetrio Castillo Jr. of San Antonio and Israel Castillo of Forth Worth, Texas.; and his siblings-in-law, Norma Diaz, Susana Gonzalez, Carmen Vasquez, Margarita Parhm and Refugio Vasquez Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
