She was predeceased by: her parents, Anastacia Soto (Perez) and Pedro Soto; her husband Arturo Castaneda; her son Johnny Castaneda; and her siblings, Benny Soto and Sylvia Sanchez.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Castaneda (Tracy) of Illinois, Arturo Castaneda, Jr., Joshua Castaneda (Mary) of Skidmore, Texas, Adelaida "Ide" Shaulis (Thomas), Teresa Fuentes (Jose) of Skidmore, Texas and Darleen Crank (Richard) of Mathis, Texas; and her siblings, Israel Soto of Victoria, Jesse Sorto of St. Paul, Peter Soto (Chris) of Mathis, Freddy Soto (Milta), Raymond Soto of Dallas, Texas, Margaret Rodriguez of Victoria, Alice Moody of Sinton, Olga Cantu, Anna Soto of St. Paul, Ofelia Garcia (Tommy) of Alabama and Yolanda Arismendez (Genaro) of Harlingen, Texas.. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Revival Center (2106 Jones Rd, Beeville, TX 78102). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery - Skidmore (6392 US-181, Skidmore, TX 78389).
