He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerich Hanus and Ludmilla Hanus (Shumbera); and his siblings, Edna Hanus Bohac, Anna Marie Hanus Motal, Emil Hanus, Charlie Hanus, Ludmila Hanus Lesikar, George Hanus and Jerome Hanus.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Ruth Harnden of Skidmore; his children, Roy Gene Hanus (Debra) of Beeville and Alene Hensley (F. Carl) of San Antonio; and his sister-in-law Viola Lesikar Hanus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
