Ponciano Tovar Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ponciano Tovar (Sinton, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregorio Tovar and Angelita Tovar; his brothers, Ramon Tovar and Martin Tovar; and his sister-in-law Yolanda Gonzales Tovar.
He is survived by: his children, Liza Gonzales of Corpus Christi, Irmalinda De Leon of Portland, Betty Glory (Rick) of Corpus Christi, Cindy Tovar, Alice Tovar of Sinton and Rene Tovar (Elissa) of Sinton; and his siblings, Ruben Tovar (Margarita), Leandro Tovar (Carmen) of Sinton, Santos Pierce and Laya Alaniz of Sweetwater. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home (120 S McCall Ave, Sinton, TX 78387). A rosary will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (725 Sodville St, Sinton, TX 78387).
